The primary focus of this year’s Beer Week is on the ‘Ale Trails’ that were so popular with beer drinkers last year.

There are seven ale-trails this year featuring 32 venues across the area and as with last year, each venue will be issued with a Beer Week stamp and when you visit and drink a beer at that venue they will happily stamp the appropriate box on your Beer Week Map. Complete individual trails and you will eligible for some great prizes in our prize draw. We have over £700 worth of ‘beery’ prizes that will be awarded to people who complete the trails.

To help you navigate these trails, instead of a programme, this year we are producing a magnificently designed, fold-out map which also lists all the key events that you should be heading for over the week. These maps will be available at CGBW venues towards the end of August.

Ale trails are a great way for people to find out about pubs, clubs, bars, breweries and shops that they would otherwise never visit – and who knows, once you unearth some of these hidden treasures, you may well become a regular!
